I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you and your wonderful staff for looking after me during my stay in what I think is perhaps the best hotel in Phuket.

I have been visiting here for more than 10 years and have stayed at many of the hotel such as the Marriot, Holiday Inn, Racha and more often the Banthai. What I have found here is the same 5 star standards and actually the luxury suite apartment is better than any room I have had at any hotel.

What you have created with the staff and the team culture is quite unique. The way that the staff work so hard and dedicated to their jobs is also inspirational. Some hotels have staff who try to avoid work and do little for the guests and are quite lazy- but the dedicated way that your team go about their job it is almost like they are looking after their own home- its very inspirational and a pleasure to see them so happy also.

"Livin' the high life, leavin' with smiles on our faces"

We were a huge group of pals celebrating our long-time friendship in Phuket. BYD was really accommodating in arranging for us to have an entire floor to ourselves. The whole gang was delighted with how properly posh the place was and appreciated the spacious balconies. Great surround sound system, fully-equipped kitchen, powerful air-conditioning, etc..

Most of the guys simply could not stop lazing on the many loungers lying in the rooms - it took some effort leaving the lofts each day. Thumbs up for the food and especially the prompt room service. Those who are familiar with Phuket (and Thailand) ended up rating BYD really really highly and that's as huge a compliment these selective chaps can give really!

"Well thought out design - home away from home"

We stayed for 3 nights in a 100sqm 1-bedroom unit. A very good experience with the limousine pickup from the airport - the car was clean and driver was very careful which was great as it was raining and at night.

On arrival, we were greeted by the staff who helped us with our luggage. Check-in was a breeze and the cool towels & cold drink were very refreshing. We were shown to our rooms and it was a nice surprise to see the luggage were already delivered to the room. We were given a walkthrough of the faciltiies in the unit and how to operate them. There was a welcome fruit basket on the table, 2 free bottles of drinking water and a large orchid floral arrangement on the table - real live orchids and not the plastic ones. We had requested for an extra bed as there were 3 of us - this was already setup in the room. This sums up the arrival experience which definitely was without hassle and stress free - a great start to the holiday.

The design of the serviced apartment was very well thought out and had nice touches which enhanced the overall experience. There were paintings on the walls - both in and out of the room. There was a large patio with a table and 4 armchairs - a relaxing outdoor seating area. The high stools around the dining area was a nice area to sit around to have some food, just to read or do some work on the laptop. We were rather surprised with the availability of a sound system in the room. We tried out a concert DVD we bought from one of the street stalls and the sound system together with the large LCD TV made a difference! The bathroom had both the normal wall shower head and an overhead rain shower head. My friend tried it and said both worked at the same time - apparently, a good shower experience :-) There was even a remote control unit to be used for the lights in the apartment! In the kitchen, everything works! Utensils, pots, pans, cutlery, wine glasses were all in good condition and clean. Wireless connectivity worked well in the room. It is within comfortable walking distance to Bangla & Jungceylon.

One day we came back early and they were doing housekeeping in the room - we were rather surprised they were moping the floor. We had thought they would have just swept the floor since we were staying for 3 nights only. It does appear great care is taken by the management to ensure a comfortable stay for the guests. At all times when we came back to the hotel, we were always warmly greeted by whoever was manning the reception. On the last day, checking out was quick and simple. The night before we had requested for transportation to the airport and the car was there ready and waiting.

Overall, it had been a wonderful experience. We would stay here again and highly recomend it to anyone visiting Phuket.

"I love BYD Lofts I've stayed there so many times, it's like my home away from home!"

I tell all my friends about BYD Lofts and I think I've stayed there about 8 or 9 times now. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food from either room service or from the restaurant is fantastic. I prefer an apartment to a hotel room where all you get is a bed and a TV and feel the need to be out somewhere else. The apartment give you enough room where you can sit back on the lounge and enjoy watching a movie or read a book out on the balcony. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and the decor throughout the apartment is modern and tasteful.

From the moment we arrived (before we even set foot inside the hotel) until the second we left, the service at this hotel was impeccable and greater than we ever expected. The manager greeted us outside (we arrive a couple hours before the usual check-in time), carried our bags in, and brought us cold wet towels and two glasses of orange juice in champagne glasses with orchids. Check-in was fast, easy, and friendly!

Our room was AMAZING. We got a one bedroom condo which was impeccably clean. This was the cleanest hotel we have EVER stayed in. Front desk was always very cheerful and helpful--they helped us with a minor snafu we encountered in taking an island tour, by being the liaison between us and our tour agent. It wasn't a huge deal, but we couldn't have gotten anything fixed without front desk's help.

We saw the manager daily, who was always very friendly and full of useful tips and ideas for what to do and see. All in all, the hotel was extremely clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and we will not even think of staying anywhere else when we return to Patong Beach! The hotel is located about 5-10 minutes walking from the beach. Very close! Bangla Road (where the nightlife is) is about a 10-15 minute walk. Also a comfortable walk. Everything you need is walking distance from BYD Lofts, and if you need to go anywhere further, like Kata Noi Beach, which is roughly 15 minutes away driving, there are tuk tuks and taxis in abundance. Don't forget to bargain!(with taxis)

"Can't Wait To Come Back!"

I had the pleasure of visiting Thailand a few weeks ago and stayed at BYD Lofts for a week. It was clean, spacious and modern; the food and service was excellent. All of the Staff made us seem more than welcome and made every attempt to make our stay enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting. And I will surely stay there again if I have the opportunity.

I just want to say...that I usually don't post reviews, but my vacation was really soo much more enjoyable because of the staff and management at BYD lofts.

When I checked in I was greeted by smiles, and a nice welcome cocktail. I was very surprised when I got to my room and saw how nice and spacious it was. There was even an ipod docking station so I can listen to my favorite music! I didn't think I would get a break from my children, but they even had a baby sitting service, which I must mention...they were also outstanding! We ordered room service, and as soon as I got out of the shower, the food was ready! :)

I can't wait to go back to Phuket, and BYD Lofts!

oh, also BYD is very close to the beach and close to the bangla road, which is where most of the nightlife is...I must say I was very pleased with this hotel.

I visited the Restaurant at Christmas and was amazed at the quailty of the Food and the fresh ingredients and the wine which was some of the best I have seen in Phuket- Wine Connections is next door with many special offers. The staff were friendly and very attentive and it had a 5 Star appearnce with a very relaxed atmosphere...which is not an easy thing to create but requires a lot of professional hard work....a great place

I was so impressed by the Restaurant (especially when they gave me a 10% discount card) that I have booked an apartment and plan to stay for 6 weeks....it really is a 5 Start expereince at a very resonable rate and Alex and his team really do make you feel welcome.

"The best place to stay in Patong"

I will try to keep this brief as there are a lot of very positive reviews already posted here but this is truly an oasis in the middle of Patong. From the minute you walk in to the modern lobby and are greeted with a big smile, you know you've made the right decision. We were upgraded when we arrived to a slightly bigger loftspace and the room was unbelievable. We felt like we were back in our San Fran apartment. It's a stone's throw away from Patong Beach and all the craziness but as soon as you return, all the craziness seems to dissipate. Their is a cute pool on the 4th floor (we didnt use it). Our only disappointment was that we didnt have more time to spend there... You will not be disappointed.

"An Oasis In Patong Beach!"

Great hidden boutique hotel, minutes away from anything you want to do in Patong Beach. Sophistically designed, contemporary look and feel and immaculate. This is my second visit here within the past six months. While the structure & accommodations are beautiful – it’s the employees that make this hotel awesome. I was greeted like I was a family member – from the front desk (Kek, On & Nate) and in the great restaurant & bar (Sim, Nui, Jah, Louis & Pom) treated me wonderfully (hope I didn't miss anyone). In addition, the owners actually care if your having a great time – Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.

"Exceeds all expectations"

A group of us (12 pax) took up 5 apartments with BYD Lofts. Direct booking via their reservations was a breeze, Alex was swift in responding to our email queries and made all the necessary arrangements accordingly.

Our stay was great, the apartments exceeded our expectations. Very spacious and super stylish with all the modern appliances you need. You just wish you could have a home exactly like this.

We were looked after by a very customer-oriented front desk team throughout. Special mention to Buw who mans the night shift, he met multiple requests from various rooms with prompt service and a ready smile even into the wee hours.

There are convenience stores just steps away if you need a midnight snack. The free internet allow us to immediately upload our holiday photos to share with friends daily.

We really enjoyed our holiday and will definitely recommend BYD to anyone who wants to go to Phuket.

The quality of the modern high tech big penthouse appartment with everything you needed inside, the sofisticated nice new Thai style was impressing.

The staff were always there to help you at once, with their honest smile and care for your well being.

The manager Alex was always there to make sure you feel good at his place and the staff were the very best I believe.

The price for living in this high standard with service and food and drink was far below what I use to pay for this living. I be happy to recommend this place to nice people.

"Stylishe Unterkunft, freundlicher Service"

Die Lage der BYD-Lofts ist gut, in einer ruhigen Seitenstrasse und doch zentral. Das Apartment ist gut ausgestattet mit hochwertigen Geraeten und Moebeln. Von den Nachbarn hoert man nichts; insofern auch hier sehr ruhig. Einziges Manko fuer mich war, dass das Schlafzimmer nicht richtig abgedunkelt werden konnte. Die Scheinwerfer von gegenueber erhellten das Schlafzimmer trotz herunter gelassener Jelaousien. Ansonsten waren wir sehr zufrieden und wuerden wieder kommen.

"Spitzenklasse"

Genau so wuenscht man sich ein Hotelzimmer: stylish, gerauemig und so gemuetlich, dass man am liebsten gleich fuer immer einziehen wuerde. Unsere Suite bestand aus einem sehr einladenden Wohnzimmer mit gut ausgestatteter Kuechenzeile, riesiger Ledercouch, grossem Flachbild-Fernseher und einem kleinen Balkon. Im separaten Schlafzimmer befand sich ein schoener, tiefer Kleiderschrank, ein weiterer Flachbild-Fernseher und das kleine Bad mit der traumhaften Dusche. Alles scheinbar nagelneu, sehr chic und tip top in Ordnung.

Der Swimmingpool auf dem Dach ist klein, aber fein. Dass wir von dort wieder geflohen sind, lag nicht am Hotel, sondern an den lauten und absolut unverschaemten Russen, die mit ihrem schlechten Benehmen leider ueberall in Patong auffallen.

Zum Schluss noch eine kleine Kritik: In unserem Wohnzimmer hing ziemlich penetrant der Geruch nach altem Zigarettenqualm. Zwar hat sich das House-Keeping viel Muehe mit den verschiedensten Dueften gegeben, aber ein Nichtraucherzimmer war das eindeutig nicht.

"Amazing"

I would like to make a comment; having stayed at BYD 3-times I must mention that you have a great group of employees, front desk, housekeepers, tech support and restaurant. They are all very professional and so polite. It makes staying at BYD an additional pleasure.

I filled out a questionnaire when I departed last week stating that everyone was terrific. However, you have 1-employee that towers above all others. I feel so embarrassed that I can never remember her name. Many times she is not wearing a name tag, but, by now, I should have her name implanted in my mind. She is shown on your internet site. She now has a desk near the elevator but still covers the front desk at times. She always has a beautiful smile and is so helpful on all matters. I stay in many hotels in America and other countries but have never encountered a hotel employee that is her equal. She has assisted me with billing matters, tech help as well as airline bookings. Whatever she is being paid I assure you she is worth more. I would be tempted to visit BYD if only to see her. I hope the owners of BYD appreciate her value. She is magnificent!!

Byd Lofts is awesome! When I first got there I was greeted with a cold towel, and a nice glass of fresh orange juice. Everyone at Byd were nice and very helpful. They even knew by my first name! Not one frown on anyones face, smiles everywhere. I was also upgraded to the 100 sq ft room as well. The room is amazing, very modern furniture, flat screens, ipod deck, etc. Byd is a 3 min walk to the beach, and 10 minutes walking distance to Bangla Rd. I will be coming back to BYD. A special thank you to the BYD Management.

In March this year I my partner and a friend travelled to Patong and stayed in a two bedroom appartment at BYD Lofts, wow what a beautiful appartment, modern, heaps of room, comfortable western beds, free internet, hot water boiler, fully stocked bar fridge, fantastic bathrooms, could not fault. We are now heading back in October, and yes, staying once again at BYD Lofts, in their new pool access room, as there are only two of us, people do yourself a favour and stay at this hotel, the staff are incrediably friendly, and nothing is a bother. If your still unsure and your in Patong, go to BYD Lofts and have them show you their appartments, it will knock you for six.
